Representative Corneh Backs Dual Citizenship
Montserrado County District #14 Representative A. Varmuyah Conneh has given his support to the controversial dual citizenship, which has been condemned by Liberians across the country since President George Weah called for the review of the 1986 constitution through the Liberian Legislature.
Mr. Corneh came to the Liberian Legislative when he was elected as an independent candidate in 2011 after beating incumbent Representative Regina Sokan Teah but contested on the ticket of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) in 2018.
Rep. Corneh noted that development can only be realized in Liberia when the country is opened up to dual citizenship.
He noted that the country is behind as far as development is concerned and that there is a need that the people practice what other countries do.
If Liberia must be on par with other countries, Representative Corneh boasted that he will do everything possible in his reach to put his district on par with other districts in the country as far as development is concerned.
Electoral District #14 in Montserrado County hosts several big entities including the Liberia Petroleum Storage Company (LPSC), Freeport of Monrovia, CEMENCO and lots of Lebanese and Nigerian businesses in the district but not many developments are visible despite Representative Corneh’s support to the controversial dual citizenship in the country.
