New Justice Minister Kicks Against Compromise
Justice Minister Musa Dean has challenged Liberians not to compromise the law in the country.
Minister Dean stated that without the law in the nation, it would be difficult to maintain peace and stability in Liberia.
Justice Minister Dean made the assertion recently when he officially took over the Ministry of Justice on 9th Street in Sinkor.
He stressed that the law will strengthen peace and security in order for investors to invest in a secured environment rather than to compromise the law.
He pointed out that those who will violate the law will be held accountable according to the laws of Liberia.
Minister Dean asserted that if the CDC-led Government should succeed, nobody should be above the law, noting that government’s officials are the servants of the people and not masters.
He explained that those working in the security sector under the Justice Ministry should perform their duties according to the mandates of their respective agencies.
He said the security sector cannot afford to fail in maintaining stable environment for Liberians and foreign residents to go about their normal functions in the society.
Minster Dean asserted that while it is the right for people to demonstrate under the law, the demonstration should not hinder the movement of others.
Meanwhile, the Officer-in-Charge of the Justice Ministry, who is the Human Resource Director, Mynell G. Jah said the staff of the ministry will support the incoming Minister to ensure that security is maintained.
Madam Jah stated that the employees have promised to work along with Minister Dean to move the ministry and the development of the security sector forward in the country.
